As an Elections Web Scraper, I developed automated data pipelines that powered The Associated Press’s real-time election coverage. My work involved building scalable Python-based scrapers using Scrapy, BeautifulSoup, and Selenium to collect and validate live election results from multiple official sources. I engineered fault-tolerant workflows with rotating headers, proxies, and retry logic to ensure high availability during peak traffic. Additionally, I designed and maintained data-cleaning processes in Pandas and SQL to normalize and timestamp county- and precinct-level results for national reporting. Collaborating with AP editors and data engineers, I contributed to the delivery of accurate, time-sensitive data viewed by millions, upholding AP’s standards of reliability and precision.
As a Software Developer, I designed and developed dynamic, responsive user interfaces that enhanced the user experience. My role involved migrating legacy applications to modern cloud-based solutions, ensuring scalability and operational efficiency. I streamlined the software development process by implementing CI/CD pipelines, enabling faster and more reliable deployments.
